Hafsa is a Junior Evaluation Consultant at Ference & Company. Hafsa holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science Specializing in Pharmacology from the University of Alberta. Prior to joining the firm, Hafsa worked for the Provincial Health Services Authority as a Project Coordinator for BC Mental Health and Substance Use Service’s Strategic Initiatives team, supporting their work on mental health literacy and knowledge, translation, and exchange.
During her MPH, she worked for the graduate student society as the Director of Access and Equity and worked to decrease institutional barriers for marginalized student populations on campus. Hafsa’s interests in her degree and practicum were on mental health and substance use disorder – focusing on advancing substance use programming, understanding concurrent use disorder, increasing accessibility to care for people who use drugs, and learning about holistic and culturally sensitive treatment modalities. She aims to apply her knowledge in mental health, diversity, equity, and inclusion in her work at the firm.
