Amy Dykstra is an Evaluation Consultant at Ference and Company. In her role at the firm, Amy supports program evaluation by developing data collection tools and conducting in-depth qualitative and quantitative analyses – used to practice informed decision-making and contribute to program improvement. Amy holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University, and a Bachelor in Health Sciences, Honours Specialization, from Western University. Prior to her time at the firm, Amy has worked with Indigenous-led organizations, and not-for-profits, where she has used her skills in community-based research and her passion for social equity to help enhance programming and improve organizational policy.
Amy’s research areas include environmental health, women’s health, the health of Indigenous Peoples, and the use of evaluation to promote population health. In these research areas, Amy has learned the importance of acknowledging intersectionality to help develop comprehensive recommendations for program improvement that are both equitable and effective for population groups. Amy continues to learn from those around her and brings her own experience to help further program evaluation and research consulting.
