Grace Sykes
Junior Evaluation Consultant

Grace is a Junior Evaluation Consultant at Ference and Company. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Sociology from Queen’s University. In her role at the firm, Grace supports a range of evaluation and research projects through qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and synthesis.

Prior to joining the firm, Grace worked in community-based public health research in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. With prior work experience in health promotion, youth program planning and implementation, and food and beverage, Grace has extensive experience working with diverse groups of people. She grew up playing lacrosse and owes much of her early understandings of communication, teamwork, and collaboration to the Indigenous coaches and athletes that she learned from. As a white settler, she aims to incorporate the Two-Eyed Seeing approach – which emphasizes the value of incorporating both Indigenous and Western ways of knowing – into the work that she does. Her research interests include mental health and substance use, reproductive health, and advancing health and social outcomes for structurally marginalized populations.
