Andrews Nartey is an Evaluation Consultant with Ference & Company and is keen about evidence-based public health intervention and sustainability in health and social care. Prior to joining Ference & Company, Drew worked with CASCADES (Creating a Sustainable Canadian Health System in a Climate Crisis) and the Planetary Healthcare Lab at Vancouver General Hospital as a UBC Sustainability Scholar on a project which sought to advance sustainable healthcare innovations to mitigate healthcare carbon footprint from volatile anesthetic emissions. In this role, he designed a survey, led interviews with anesthesiologists, and conducted an environmental scan to develop an implementation framework to support innovations at CASCADES. Drew holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) where he was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Statistics. He is also an alumnus of the University of Houston, and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science of Science and Technology where he earned his Master of Science in Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry (OD) degrees respectively. A Mastercard Foundation scholar alumnus, Drew gives back to his community as he volunteers as co-chair with Liu Institute Network for Africa (LINA), BC and serves as board member and teacher support coordinator at Army of Hope International, Texas.
